Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands on technique that is used to decrease abnormal muscle tone, myofascial restrictions, improve joint mobility, and inhibit pain.
Examples of manual therapy that I use are soft tissue work, cupping, myofascial release, joint mobilization, manipulation, and passive stretching.
Exercise
Services
With a strong background in histology, specifically dosed exercise is used to address tissue healing, mobility, blood flow, coordination, recruitment, endurance, strength, and power. I follow the Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progression model to appropriately dose, design, and progress treatment with patient's goals in mind.
Patients should expect to spend about 30 minutes a day on therapeutic exercise. Average treatment is 4-6 weeks, but can vary greatly depending on prior level of function and goals.
Initial Evaluations that are 1 hour long and will include a thorough evaluation process with the goal of determining what is causing your pain. With this information we can appropriately dose exercise for tissue healing. Physical Therapy can also address functional movements patterns, coordination, strength, flexibility, joint mobility, myofascial restrictions and posture.
All follow up appointments will be from 45 min - 1 hour and treatments are one on one.
